This itinerary is perfect for the first-time visitors to Sri Lanka. You will explore few UNESCO world heritage sites that provides a great opportunity for you to experience the historical and cultural values of Sri Lanka. You will also be able to see spice garden, botanical garden, tea plantation and waterfalls during this six-day tour in Sri Lanka. Read the detailed itinerary which is given day wise below.

Staying overnight on campsites hearing the creepy sounds of wild animals will sometimes scare you but your safety is guaranteed in all the ways as we have our people taking care of you throughout the tour. And we know you would not select this tour if you would not want a piece of adventure. ;-)

You will be warmly greeted by the chauffeur guide at the Bandaranaike International Colombo Airport and transferred to Sigiriya (Approx. 4 hours drive). En route you can visit Pinnawala Elephants Orphanage. Check in to the hotel and relax the evening. You enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan dinner and some music at the hotel.

Spend Overnight in Sigiriya.

Get an early start to the day and proceed to visit the UNESCO world Heritage city of Polonnaruwa and one of the well-preserved city with ancient dagobas, moonstones, beautiful parks, massive buildings and stunningly beautiful statues. In the afternoon, you will be taken to the 5th century Rock fortress of Sigiriya which is regarded as one of the Wonders of world and a UNESCO world heritage site. If you want to get a better view of Sigiriya Rock, you can visit nearby temple called Pidurangala. It's a very famous tourist spot to take photographs of the Sigiriya Rock

Spend Overnight in Sigiriya.

In the morning, you will visit the impressive Cave temple of Dambulla (UNESCO world heritage site), a batik factory and a spice garden. Dambulla Cave is a centuries old temple which was used by monks for meditations. The frescos inside the ancient temple is still well preserved. In the afternoon, you will do the city tour of Kandy including a visit to the temple of the sacred tooth relic (UNESCO world heritage site), upper lake drive, market square, gem lapidary and more. Tooth Relic Temple is important because it houses the exact left tooth of Lord Buddha. Witness a cultural dance show before you go the hotel.

Spend Overnight in Kandy.

Visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden, one of the best botanical gardens in Asia and then drive to Nuwara Eliya. En-route visit a tea plantation and tea factory where the best tea in the world is produced. Also visit Ramboda Hanuman Temple which is very nearby to the Ramboda Falls.

Spend Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Enjoy a city tour of Nuwara Eliya in the morning. Surrounded by hills and tea plantations, the town of Nuwara Eliya is blessed with spring-like weather throughout the year. A favorite retreat of the British during colonial times, the town is dotted with English country style houses and half-timbered bungalows. After the city tour, you will be driven to Colombo. En route visit Devon & St. Claire's waterfalls. Arrive Colombo in the evening.
